I wish
Love could be an easy thing
As easy as kissing you
Or pressing my head against your chest
Before saying goodbye
I wish
Love could be turned off
So it didn’t hurt so much
I wish
This didn’t hurt
So very much.
But time
Takes time
And that’s my least favorite
But maybe time
Can heal.
