Paradox

It’s the nights alone
After bright, hopeful days
That hit
The hardest;
Dinner for one
Veggies on marble rye
Disturbing psych horror flick
Incognito mode
Sleep.

  1. I like “Paradox” because I relish paradoxes. To deny the paradoxical is like painting yourself into a corner. But then: is the picture part of the poem? What does the message displayed mean? Are we in a car wash? “Hit the hardest.” You got that. If I start on “dinner for one,” we will be here all night with or without the disturbing flick. Incognito, in this context, just means your computer keeps no record of what you have watched. But so what, if you are alone?
