About

Welcome to my little corner of the world.

Here you will find my fiction, poetry, photography, thoughts on life, and occasional posts on life with Type 1 Diabetes.  Please visit my Services page for information on my professional services.

I have loved writing from a very young age; I used to fill pages with meaningless scribbles before I even knew the alphabet.  I recall writing my first ghost story in the second grade and reading it to my class. The writing bug hit me fast and I was never able to shake it (not that I would ever want to).

In 2002 I received a Bachelor of Science in Creative Writing from the State University of New York at Brockport. While a student there, I was honored with a First Place award for Poetry and publication in Jigsaw, the college’s literary anthology. Since then my work has appeared in a number of literary anthologies.

I have worked as a professional proofreader since 2004, the majority of those years serving the healthcare community for a respected fire and emergency management firm.  As a freelancer, I have had the pleasure of typing, formatting and proofreading poetry, fiction and non-fiction manuscripts as well as other written works. I thoroughly enjoy being a part of the creative process. Recently, I received the certification of CPRW (Certified Professional Resume Writer) from the Professional Association of Resume Writers.

Your comments are welcome and appreciated.

Thanks for stopping by.
